In the meantime, I passed the 10th standard and decided to open an auto repairing workshop. The biggest challenge in this direction was lack of money. Meanwhile, under the Prime Minister Employment Generation Program, information was received from the Industries Department to provide loan-grant to youth including skill upgradation training for self employment. Then Ravi Shankar prepared his case and submitted it to the Department of Industries. Ravi Shankar said that in the said case a loan of Rs 2 lakh was made available through the bank. In which a grant of 70 thousand rupees was provided. With this amount, he opened his auto repair shop in the middle of Bijapur city and started working with full hard work and dedication. The number of two-wheelers is high due to the area being very large. Which is getting good work and income is also getting good. Ravi Shankar said that from his business, he is earning about 10 to 15 thousand rupees every month. As a result, he is also repaying the loan amount of the bank with ease. At the same time, it is helping a lot in the maintenance of the family. Ravi Shankar expressed his gratitude to the state government for benefiting the scheme by presenting a boon for self-employment for the youth.
