Raipur, 3 December 2020. Minister of Forests, Transport, Housing and Environment, Mr. Mohammad Akbar performed Bhoomi Pujan of the Baiga community for the disposal of Baiga community in Vananchal village Duldula of his constituency Kawardha assembly constituency on Thursday. He also announced the acceptance of the community forum on special demand of the Baiga community.
Forest Minister Shri Akbar said that the Government of Chhattisgarh is committed to the social and economic upliftment of forest dwellers, tribals and special backward tribes living between the forest and forests of the state. He said that for the economic and social development of people living for centuries between Vananchal and forests is conducting many schemes. Apart from this, policies have been formulated for harvesting forest produce to make them economically strong and locally employed. Forest produce, The support price of Mahua has been increased from Rs 17 to Rs 30 per kg. Tendupatta collection remuneration rate has been increased from Rs 25 hundred to Rs 4 thousand directly. Due to the new arrangement for purchase of minor forest produce in 856 hot markets across the state, lakhs of forest dwellers from the farmers of the state are getting direct benefit of this. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, many schemes are being run by the new government of the state for the economic upliftment and all round development of public and public welfare, farmers, forest dwellers and citizens of the state. Several dignitaries and public representatives were present on this occasion including Shri Neelkanth Chandravanshi, Mr. Kalim Khan, Mr. Kanhaiya Agarwal, Mr. Prabhaati Markam, Mr. Ajmat Khan, Mr. Rajkumar Tiwari, Mr. Kawardha NAPA Vice President Mr. Jamil Khan.
