Raipur: Chhattisgarhi folk art scattered in the fort: Chief Minister inaugurated folk art route

Tableau of Panthi, Sua and Raut Nach between the grandparents Nana-Nani Park from Civil line, also attractive statues of various rugs of Surya Namaskar

Raipur, 2 December 2020. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the Chhattisgarhi Lok Kala Marg in Durg today. The road between the grandparents Nana-Nani Park from the city’s civil line is decorated with attractive sculptures of Chhattisgarhi folk dances Panthi, Sua and Raut Nach. A statue of a potters driving a chalk and a farmer driving a plow has also been installed amidst beautiful land-scrapping along the road. The pavement has also been made for pedestrians by giving the road a new look. Various asanas of Surya Namaskar have also been displayed there to make people healthy and motivate them to remain mentally and physically fit. Public Works Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, President of Chhattisgarh Ware House Corporation Mr. Arun Vora, Mayor Mr. Dhiraj Bakaliwal and Chairman of Municipal Corporation Mr. Rajesh Yadav were also present in the inaugural program.

This Chhattisgarhi folk art route, about half a kilometer in the middle of the city of Durg, has been given an attractive appearance at a cost of about Rs. 58 lakhs to introduce passersby to Chhattisgarhi folk art and culture. From the MLA fund of Municipal Corporation and local MLA Shri Arun Vora, a glimpse of the cultural heritage of the state has been displayed here at a cost of about 31 lakh rupees. At the same time, statues displaying various postures of Surya Namaskar have been installed by the Municipal Corporation at a cost of Rs 27 lakhs.
