Raipur, 01 December 2020. Paddy procurement has been started in the entire state from December 1 by the Chhattisgarh government in support price. The procurement of paddy has been started in the paddy procurement centers of Mahasamund district with a chalk-proof system. Collector Shri Karthikeya Goyal started worshiping Kanta-Baat at village Baronda Bazar Acquisition Center by weighing paddy of farmer Mr. Foreign.
Collector Shri Goyal said that from today the sale and purchase of paddy has started. All the paddy procurement centers in the district have been taken care of so that farmers do not face any problem or problem. Paddy will be procured from 01 December to 31 January 2021 and corn will be purchased from 01 December to 31 May 2021 at the support price in these centers of the district. One lakh 40 thousand farmers of the district have registered in cooperative societies for paddy sale, whose total area is more than 02 lakh 11 thousand hectares. He also said that in order to prevent the paddy from the border areas reaching the district, check-posts and check-posts have been made in the district. A team of officers will also visit the procurement centers and take stock of the arrangements. Seizure of 275 bags of paddy illegally transporting paddy The seizure
proceedings were carried out by the Food Department team on transportation of 275 bags of paddy without competent permission in Odisha Inter-State Border barrier in Tehsil Bagbahara of Mahasamund district. Seized a truck number loaded with illegal paddy at Temari RTO barrier on Tuesday, December 1, at around 12 noon on the opening day. 275 katta paddy was recovered from the truck. Illegal paddy was being transported from Odisha. The district administration is following a strict strategy on illegal paddy transport and all the 17 check points of the district are being monitored.
