DGP performed Bhoomi Pujan of hostel with all facilities for constables, constables
Raipur, 19 November 2020. DGP DM Awasthi performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the Principal constable and constable hostel at Police line campus Raipur today. On this occasion, Mr. Awasthi said that Chhattisgarh Police is always ready for the interests of the soldiers. Chhattisgarh Police has the highest number of head constables and constables. For the past many years, the need of hostels was felt for their temporary stay in the capital Raipur. Health of Chief Constable, Constable and their relatives, Raipur is frequented for official and other works. In such a situation, they had to spend a lot of money in hotels to stay. Therefore, the said hostel is being constructed by the Chhattisgarh Police keeping in mind the interests of its soldiers and their families. The hostel is being constructed by the Central Welfare Fund. It is noteworthy that there is already a police transit hostel and mess facility for ASI and above rank jawans.
The hostel will be fully equipped – all facilities will be in the hostel under construction for head constables and constables. 12 rooms, halls and a dormitory are proposed to stay in the said hostel, in which about 3 dozen people will be able to stay. The hostel will also have a kitchen facility where food will be available for the jawans and their families. IG Raipur Dr. Anand Chhabra, SSP Raipur Mr. Ajay Yadav, ASP Mr. Tarakeswar Patel, DSP Mr. Mani Shankar Chandra, RI Mr. Chandra Prakash Tiwari were present on the occasion of hostel worship.
