3 lakhs extra income from selling 150 quintal dung
Raipur, 10 November 2020. Chhattisgarh Government’s Godhan Nyaya Yojana has become a medium of additional income for the cowherds, farmers and villagers. Due to the benefits from this scheme, there has been an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the villagers. Awareness has also increased among villagers about the care of animals and their conservation and promotion. Gobar has now become the money for the villagers. Farmer Latif Baghel of village Terai Ghotia of Durgukondal development block of Kanker district has started making a lot of profit from the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. Latif Baghel has earned an additional income of about Rs 3 lakh by selling 150 quintal of cow dung at Gauthan at the rate of Rs 2 per kg so far under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana started on 20 July.
Latif Baghel has 9 buffaloes, 4 cows and 4 calves, from which dung is collected regularly and sold in the village’s Gothan. Along with the income of milk production, they are now benefiting from cow dung. Which has increased their income. Latif Baghel has earned the facility of irrigation by enriching farming and farming, as well as mining of boreholes to earn income from the sale of cow dung. The Godhan Nyaya Yojana has become a source of economic income for the cattle ranchers and poor villagers of rural areas. Due to which their daily needs are being easily met. Due to this, cow dung is being purchased in 197 Gauthans in Kanker district at the rate of two rupees per kg. The first payment of cow dung purchased under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana was made by the government on August 5 in the bank account of the dung vendor farmers, Due to which 02 thousand 177 farmers of Kanker district were benefited. The farmers of the district are very happy to receive the cash amount every fortnight in lieu of cow dung sold under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana and thank the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for this.
