At this time, when the schools and colleges are not suitable to open, it becomes more difficult for the government machinery to provide education in a safe environment to the children and youth of their state. In such times, some new experiments are needed, some innovations, so that the problem arising from such crisis situations can be dealt with. Some such new experiments were conducted by the present government, so that education could be provided in a favorable environment.
The state government came up with many such programs that could provide quality education to the children in the state. One such program started by the School Education Department, ‘Padhai Tunhar Duar’ under which online and offline classes are being organized. It is a program started for teaching and learning of children. Many innovative efforts are also being made by the teachers to keep teachers and children connected to this program. Apart from this, ‘Our hero’ program has been started. In this, blogs are written about teachers and students for the purpose of encouraging teachers.
Various successful experiments have been conducted in various districts of the state. In Korba district of the state, the special coaching center for the advancement of District Mineral Trust item is being run for the preparation of JEE and NEET for the promising children of government schools. In which 28 out of 33 students have qualified in the NEET examination this year. This coaching scheme, run under the efficient guidance of the state government, has become a scheme to give wings to the dreams of poor meritorious children in rural areas.
Under the supervision of Dantewada district administration, the Chhoo Aakash program is being run with the objective of preparing tribal children of the region in competitive examinations. In this, preparations are made for admission in medical and engineering with hostel facility from class 9th, as well as admission in schools. A total of 600 students are studying in the class at one time. The institution is monitored by the District Administration and NMDC.
In order to maintain the morale of children and continuity of education, the School Education Department launched the “E-Goth” monthly e-news letter. Efforts have been made to bring all the new efforts made in the pre-regime through the medium of education. The “Goths of Education” include programs and innovative activities going on in various districts of the state. Several important initiatives have been taken by the government in the field of education, in which the facility of textual content in local dialects, many better measures have been taken to make education interesting. From Padhai Tunhar Para, an initiative was taken to open classes in settlements, neighborhoods and streets. Special training is being imparted to teachers and school heads from class 1st to 8th through loyalty online training.
It was also told through special classes how to study in lockdown. The NITI Aayog has also praised the innovations being done under Tehun Duar and the effective work being done in the education sector. The state government has also approved the ‘Reading and Writing Campaign’ for this education session. Under this campaign, basic education will be given to two and a half million illiterates above the age of 15 years. Efforts for weaker sections residential boys and girls schools are also being conducted successfully.
In the Anganwadi centers of the state, the department is running a vigilant program for the smooth conduct of pre-school education activities for children from 3 to 6 years of age and for the overall development of children. Through this, an environment of physical, mental and creative development of children is being created. The vigilance program is being implemented in collaboration with the Department of Women and Child Development, UNICEF.
In view of the shortage of teachers in the state, the state government approved the recruitment of permanent teachers. To provide education in English medium to the children of poor, weaker sections of the state, the Swami Atmanand English School Scheme has been started. This scheme will definitely have far-reaching consequences for the children of economically weaker sections of the state.
