Announcement to link all government buildings of Latuva Panchayat with main road
Raipur, 22 October 2020. Public Works Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu performed the groundbreaking work of upgrading and reconstruction of the approved Nipania-Latuva-Balodabazar road under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) project through video conferencing from his residence office in Raipur today. Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Chhaya Verma, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Kasdol Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, MLA Balodabazar Shri Pramod Kumar Sharma and many local public representatives were present in the program. The event was held at village Latuva in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district.
Public Works Minister Mr. Sahu said that the road network in Chhattisgarh is constantly expanding. He said that the Chief Minister Sugam Road has been launched by the department. Under this, all the government buildings in the state will be connected by main roads with paved roads. Legislative funds are being sanctioned under the scheme. He announced to connect all government buildings of Latuva Panchayat with the main road. Shri Sahu said that now all roads will be made of double lane for smooth traffic in the state. All old roads will be renovated. He said that proposal of access road has been sought from all the MLAs. Based on their demands, the provision of funds for the access road will be included in the upcoming budget. Minister Shri Sahu said that no compromise will be made in the quality and time limit of the roads. Quality jobs will not be tolerated. Minister Shri Sahu informed about the Nipania-Latuva-Balodabazar road that the much-awaited road of about 30 kilometers will be constructed at a cost of Rs 73 crore. The concerned contractor has been entrusted with the responsibility of completing the road construction by May 2022. In this, 7 meters wide asphaltized road up to 28 kilometers, 10 meters wide asphaltized road up to 5 and a half kilometers and 1.62 kilometers long concrete road will be constructed. This road will include construction of a large bridge, 7 nos. Medium bridge and 50 nos. Bridge. Construction of 9 city bus shelters and 27 city solar lights will be done in the main villages passing through the road. There is also provision for rain water harvesting at selected nine places.
In the Bhoomipujan ceremony, Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Chhaya Verma congratulated the people of the region on the long-awaited demand. He said that it is necessary to have a paved road for traffic, this brings development and prosperity. He said that the road should be constructed with full quality keeping in mind the greater movement of large vehicles on this route. He said that the development of the area is the responsibility of all the public representatives. MLA Mr. Pramod Kumar Sharma and Chairman of Farmers Welfare Council Mr. Surendra Sharma also addressed the program.
