Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that through the MoU between the State Planning Commission and these institutions, specific problems and problems of the state can be identified and solutions can be found on them by research, study, innovation and knowledge skills available in these institutions. He said that there should be a scientific solution to the problems of agriculture, employment, rural development, problems ranging from cottage industries to large industries and social problems in the state, faculty of higher educational institutions, knowledge and skills of talented students should be benefited. The Chief Minister said that under this MoU, in the ‘Research and Research Cell’ to be formed in higher educational institutions in coordination with the State Planning Commission, value addition of minor forest produce, agricultural products, horticulture, value addition in crops, agriculture and horticulture crops. Study and research will also be done in relation to opening industries. It will also help in the development of cottage industries in the state and the ancillary industries of value addition based on steel and aluminum produced in the state such as cycle making industries and automobile industries.
The Chief Minister said that power, raw materials and skilled human resources are available for industries in the state. With the help of higher educational institutions, industrialists will be helped to bring value-added industries to Chhattisgarh and also to make people skilled in the state. Planning and Culture Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat said that today is a historic occasion for Chhattisgarh, when the talent of higher educational institutions and technical institutes of the state is being started to make them partners in the development of the state.
