Patients with Supebeda dialysis will no longer have to come to Raipur.
Pilot project of National Health Mission and Raipur AIIMS for Peritoneal Dialysis in Supebada on the initiative of Health Minister.
Raipur. 18 October 2020. People of Supebeda affected by kidney disease will no longer have to come to Raipur to get the fluids needed for peritoneal dialysis. The state unit of the National Health Mission has made the fluids available at the Devbhog Community Health Center. A patient from Supebeda undergoing routine peritoneal dialysis was given fluids from the Community Health Center on 17 October. Due to getting fluids in Devbhog itself, now the patients will not have to come to Raipur again and again for dialysis due to the risk of corona infection. Corona infection is fatal in kidney patients. Getting fluids at the local level will save time, labor and money in the movement of patients and their families to Raipur.
Health Minister Shri T.S. Pilot project for peritoneal dialysis has been launched by National Health Mission and AIIMS Raipur to provide relief to the kidney affected people of Supebeda on the initiative of Singhdev, under which AIIMS is training patients and their families for dialysis. The doctors and staff of the Community Health Center at Devbhog have also been given special training for the treatment of kidney disease. They will monitor and follow up dialysis patients regularly. Fluid required for dialysis in Supebeda is being supplied by the National Health Mission.
Director of the National Health Mission, Dr. Priyanka Shukla said that a budget of Rs two crore 40 lakh has been approved for the peritoneal dialysis of patients of Supebheda. Under this, dialysis of 100 patients will be arranged there. Given the outcome of the pilot project, the budget will be increased as per the need. If there is any problem during home peritoneal dialysis, the patient can be brought to Devbhog Community Health Center for immediate treatment. Serious patients will also be referred from Raipur.
