Raipur 14 October 2020. To overcome the mental problems and stress of the corona infected people of the state, trained counselors of the health department are constantly counseling them. This system is applicable in all the districts except some districts. Remaining districts will also be started soon. Till now mental counseling has been given to 186 patients of Kovid Care Center / Isolation Center and Home Isolation. Apart from calling the number 104, the counselor is also resolving problems related to mental problems. Anyone who is having mental trouble at number 104 can contact.
Director Health Services Shri Neeraj Bansod informed that mental counseling is being given to the patients of Covid Care Center / Isolation Center and Home Isolation by phone counselor or sometimes even on video call by the Counselor of the Department under Sparsh Clinic since last month. In this, the patients are first assessed to know their state of mind and then their sessions are conducted as per the need, in which measures are given to overcome their problems / fears / stresses. Medicines are also given in some cases. So far 2356 sessions of 186 patients have been conducted. 69 Counselors were provided special training by the Department from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore to help the patients of Kovid 19.
