Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana chaired by Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Ravindra Choubey, the use of organic manure from cow dung purchased through Gowthan committees, including its multi-use was discussed. The situation, packaging and marketing of organic manure was discussed in detail in the meeting. Preparation of bio CNG from cow dung and biomass was discussed. Choubey emphasized on making cow dung beneficial by preparing a small project.
Minister Choubey informed that under the Godan Nyaya Yojana, which started from July 20, Hareli Parv, so far from cow owners and cow dung vendors through Gowthan committees in more than 3247 Gothans of the state, from cattle and cow dung collectors from urban and rural areas, about 30 crores The cow dung has been bought. Choubey said that the way cattle farmers and poor rural cow dung vendors are getting it from the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, making it more extensive, making organic produce from cow dung, including multi-product and multi-use, to provide self-employment to the villagers and women. He also emphasized on providing organic fertilizer to the farmers easily through the cooperative department.
In the meeting, Mr. Choubey informed that the Vermi Compost prepared in the Gouthans has been launched in the name of ‘Godhan Vermi Compost’. He directed the officers to hand over the packaging of vermi compost to women self-help groups to provide employment to more women from the scheme. Like urban women, emphasized on providing necessary equipment to women groups in rural areas to create multi-product from Gobber. He also instructed to pay special attention to organic fertilizer manufacturing, packaging and marketing, and work in a planned manner by regularly inspecting the plantations.
He said that what can be done in the direction of making this scheme more beneficial should also be considered. He said that through this scheme, the business of vermicompost fertilizer worth Rs 700 to 800 crore will be done through women groups and societies. This will provide employment to villagers and support to societies.

Dakshinkar and Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Dr. S. K. Patil, Additional Director of Industries Department Mr. Praveen Shukla, Chhattisgarh Biofuel Authority officer and other officials concerned were present.
