Raipur: Chief Minister unveils statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhiji’s statue will be reminiscent of his ideals, principles, sacrifice and sacrifice:  Bhupesh Baghel

Bapu’s inspiration is showing all of us the right path.

  Raipur, 02 October 2020. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today unveiled the statue of Bapu at the Mahanadi Bhawan complex in Nava Raipur on the occasion of 151st birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid humble tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister late mr.  Lal Bahadur Shastri at his residence office on the occasion of his birth anniversary. 

 Chief Minister Mr. Baghel while addressing the unveiling program of Gandhi statue through video conferencing from his residence office said that the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, installed in the ministry premises, will be reminiscent of Gandhi’s ideals, principles, his sacrifice and sacrifice. Bapu’s inspiration is showing us the right path. He said that in case of dilemma, when a difficult decision has to be taken, Gandhi’s ideals and principles will help in taking the right decision. 

 The Chief Minister further said that Bapu is settled in the mind of all of us. Referring to the first freedom struggle of 1857, he said that against the British in Chhattisgarh, Shaheed Ball Singh in Bastar and Shaheed Veeranarayan Singh in Raipur Zone raised the spirit of independence. The Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, united the various streams struggling for independence during the country’s freedom struggle and pushed it forward on the path of non-violence and satyagraha for a decisive struggle. The Chief Minister said that Bapu also came to Chhattisgarh during the freedom struggle. The people of Chhattisgarh have been inspired by Bapu. He said that Mahatma Gandhi’s use of village swaraj and village uplift is really connected with self-improvement.

 The Chief Minister said that Bapu’s statue has been unveiled in the Mahanadi Ministry. Referring to Gandhiji’s statement on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that before taking any decision, we should also consider what effect this decision will have on the last person of the society. He said that the statue of Bapu will communicate Bapu-like sensitivity among the administrative officers and employees. 

 The Chief Minister said that after the first freedom struggle, many great sons of Mother India made their supreme sacrifice for the freedom of the country. Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, took the support of all sections of society to take the freedom struggle to a decisive turn and instilled a sense of nationalism in the public with truth, non-violence, harmony, simplicity and ease. On this occasion, the Chief Minister called upon people to understand and follow Gandhism. 

        On this occasion, Home Minister  Tamradhwaj Sahu, Panchayat Minister  T.S. Singhdev, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, School Education Minister Dr. Premasay Singh, Adviser to the Chief Minister Mr. Vinod Verma and Mr. Rajesh Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahu, Secretary Mr. Siddartha Komal Pardeshi were also present. Food Minister in the Ministry, Shri Amarjeet Bhagat, Chief Secretary Shri R.P. Several senior officials including the board were present.
