Kawardha: On the instructions of Forest Minister Mr. Akbar, the District Panchayat CEO oversaw the construction work of PM Awas Yojana of Vananchal areas.

Forest Minister Mr. Akbar and Minister-in-charge Smt. Bedia had taken cognizance of the irregularities and complaints in PM housing construction works.

Kawardha, 28 September 2020. On the instructions of the state forest minister, Mr. Mohammad Akbar, the CEO of the District Panchayat visited the Vananchal village intensively to see the quality of the construction work being done under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in the forested areas of Bodla development block of the district. . A complaint was received for not doing timely construction of 161 gram panchayats under Bodla development block and for irregularities in the work. Based on these complaints, construction work was carried out after intensive tour of Vananchal area on the basis of complaints, in which the amount was not worked out. A complaint has been given to the police station for action against 78 persons on complaints of irregularities in the construction of the houses of 331 beneficiaries of the Prime Minister’s house being held in 16 gram panchayats like Vanachanl village, Kesamarda, Swampy Kukra Pani, Chendradar

It is worth mentioning that the departmental review meeting was directed by Forest Minister and Kawardha MLA Shri Mohammad Akbar and District In-charge Minister Smt. Anita Wolf, taking cognizance of the sanction of construction works sanctioned under the PM Awas Yojana. In the same sequence, Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Kabirdham, Mr. Vijay Dayaram. The work of construction of the concerned house was seen on the spot itself. During this period, the work of the residence has been found to be in progress, the quality of the construction work was also observed after consulting the concerned beneficiaries and the field staff was instructed to complete the work with quality as soon as possible.

The District Panchayat CEO made a surprise visit to Vananchal villages like Daldali, Kesamarda, Bodai, Sukhjhar, Baqi, Kukra Pani, Bhursipkari Mudadabra, Samasata, Bamahntara. During the inspection, the District Panchayat CEO, with the help of a bike in unaccompanied places, saw the works. In places where it was not possible to go by big car, the construction work was reviewed by sitting on a bike in those places. The beneficiaries of these places have asked to complete the work after the rainy season, because the problem of carrying the present material was brought about. Out of 39 houses being constructed in Kesarmarda, 17 houses have been found to be completed. In addition, work is also in progress in other villages which have been asked to be completed in time. Directing the Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat Bodla, Sarpanch, Secretary and Employment Assistant along with technical assistants, it was said that every day construction works should be inspected and completed with quality. Instructions were also given to unanimous to provide construction material and all technical assistance to housing beneficiaries on time.

A complaint was received for irregularities in the construction work under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. In which the principal was told not to complete the house by withdrawing the amount. Taking immediate action in this regard, a proposal for protest action has been sent to 78 persons concerned. To see the quality of construction work, the visited area beneficiaries are working. The availability of construction material and completion of work in time in Baiga area is a challenge. Instructions have been given to plain acids to provide all technical assistance and support to the beneficiaries on time. All work will be completed soon.
