Surajpur: Excise Department proceedings, case filed against three accused including Anganwadi assistant

Surajpur 28 September 2020. During the drive to control excise offenses under the direction of Collector  Ranbir Sharma during the lockout of liquor shops in the district in lockdown, three cases were filed on the information of Mukhbir during city patrolling on September 27 and 28 by Excise Sub-Inspector Sahadev Markam. Ward 9, Nawapara College Road resident Anganwadi Sahayika Mamta Pati Banshilal Dewangan seized 6.5 liters of raw mahua liquor and booked under judicial remand Section 34 (2) 59 (a) of the Excise Act, 1915 and was sent to jail on judicial remand. In other cases, Bhatapara resident Babita Pati Ranjit Gond was sold Mahua liquor with 4.5 liters of raw liquor along with Section 34 (1) (b) and 4 liters of raw liquor from Mahuapara resident Ashok Atmaj Vijay Sahu by seizing 4 liters of raw liquor. Case taken under consideration.
