Uttar Bastar Kanker: Small Forest Produce Training Center to be built in Kulgaon

Training will be given for other activities including forest produce. 

Uttar Bastar, Kanker 26 September 2020. Small forest produce training center will be set up near village panchayat office and market place near national highway in village Kulgaon under development block Kanker, training of various activities including lac farming and other forest produce will be imparted in the said training center. For which the venue has been selected by Parliamentary Secretary and local MLA Mr. Shishupal Shorey, Parliamentary Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Rajesh Tiwari, Chief Conservator of Forests SSD. Badgaiya, Collector Mr. K.L. Chauhan, Forest Officer, Kanker Arvind PM, District CEO UK Pambhoi, Tehsildar Manoj Markam, Forest Officer Sandeep Singh and District Member Rajesh Bhaskar and Ishwar Mercam, Sarpanch Kamlesh Padmakar were present in the presence of the villagers. Prior to this, a meeting of villagers was taken in the premises of tribal boy ashram Kulgaon, in which they were given detailed information regarding collection and processing of forest produce under the Forest Resource Rights and conservation of forests. Explaining to the villagers, he said that a group should be formed under Indira Van Mittan Yojana for the collection and processing of microbial produce and protection of forests, in which every family member should be included. This training center located in Kulgaon will have training of at least 100 people at a time, residential system will also be there, construction of scaffolding will be made from bamboo and wood. Apart from lac rearing in the training center, training will also be given to other activities including Vanaushadhi, Naturopathy. Model Gothan will be built around the training center and Paddy Procurement Center will also be built nearby. Vegetable farming will also be promoted in every house of the village under Bari program. It is worth mentioning that the villagers of village Kulgaon are already cultivating lakhs of rearing plants in Palash, by forming a group in them, lac farming is being done in about 14 acres of Palash plants.
