Hearing on the petition of Bilaspur Airport in the High Court, instructions to the state government to approve the amount immediately

Bilaspur September 24, 2020. The petition filed for the development of Bilaspur Airport in the High Court was heard today. After the hearing, a division bench of Chief Justice Ram Chandra Menon and PP Sahu directed the officials of the state government to give immediate sanction for the development work of the airport. This PIL has been filed by the President of Chhattisgarh High Court Practicing Bar, Sandeep Dubey, Advocate Sudeep Srivastava and Ashish Srivastava. The next hearing of the case will be held on October 20. Explain that despite the fund in the airport account, administrative approval of 1.22 crore is pending for about 3 months.

State government should complete the work by October
After the hearing, the High Court has said in its order that all the incomplete works shown in the report submitted by the state government should be completed by October 2020 and the status of the commodity should be immediately reported to the DGCA. So that he can inspect for 3-C license without delay. The airport is currently on 2-C license.

Apply for army land
Apart from this, it has been said in the order that the state government officials can submit the application to the Ministry of Defense as per the guidelines of the central government in the proper format to take the required land from the army. On receiving the application, all the necessary steps are given to the Ministry of Defense and other officials to provide necessary land. The court said that this matter is of wide public interest. Therefore, the State Government, Central Government and Ministry of Defense should take action in this direction with mutual support. The next hearing must be conveyed to the High Court before 20 October.
