Raipur September 22, 2020. Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Vice President and former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has termed the Congress opposition to the agrarian reform bill passed by the Central Government as a reflection of its ideological impoverishment and said that the conduct of the Congress is definitely anti-farmer. Dr. Singh said that the Congress cannot tolerate any revolutionary initiative for the good future of farmers, it is enough to prove that the entire political character of the Congress is anti-farmer and it only pretends to be farmers friendly. Dr. Singh asked whether the Chief Minister of the state Bhupesh Baghel and all the Congress leaders are opposing the Bills and are not preparing the background of any new fraud with the farmers in the coming days?
BJP National Vice President and former Chief Minister Dr. Singh said that the Congress gave the assurance to do the work in 2013 and promised in its 2019 elections, which confirms the statement of senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal in the Parliament. It is viral. That work was done by the government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, so why is the Congress suffering? It is obvious that the Congress was misleading the farmers of the country and is now tricking, provoking the farmers. Dr. Singh said that today the Congress is intent on creating an atmosphere of anarchy in this terrible Corona era in the country by instigating the farmers on the same lines as the interim President of the Anarchy Congress, Sonia Gandhi in one of her speech on CAA-NRC issue I had tried to spread out by asking people to come out of their homes and fight against the central government. Dr. Singh said that by tricking the farmers by doing politics of lies and confusion, the Congress is once again ready to challenge the law and order in the country, but it will not be able to do anything in this bad faith.
Former Chief Minister Dr. Singh said that these agricultural ordinances are an option before the farmers and whether or not to choose them is discretionary of the farmers. If the farmers find the ongoing system convenient and profitable then they will be able to continue it and if not, they will be able to explore better possibilities for themselves by accepting the system of agricultural reform ordinances passed by the central government. Dr. Singh said that the Congress is constantly confusing the farmers about the minimum support price, mandi system, agreement farming, while the truth is that the minimum support price system is not going to be affected by the agriculture bill. The minimum support price has been and continues to be met. Similarly, the mandi system will continue. Dr. Singh said that in fact these agricultural bills give the freedom to the farmers of the country that they can be free to sell their crop anywhere and to anyone at a better price under the ‘One Nation-One Market’. Will stay
Dr. Singh clarified that now the farmer will be able to earn more profits by joining the big food production companies as a partner instead of being dependent on anyone and for this, there is no need to worry the farmers with the Congress’s propaganda. The agreement will guarantee the farmers a fixed price and the farmer will not be tied to any agreement. Dr. Singh said that the farmer will be free to get out of this agreement at any time and in any situation without penalty. The bill clearly states that the sale, lease and mortgage of the land of the farmers will be completely prohibited as the agreement will be for crops only and not for land. Also, farmers will get direct benefit of not being mandi tax on selling crops outside the market. These bills will also provide benefit of technology and equipment to farmers. Dr. Singh said that by opposing these bills that guarantee the interest of farmers, a golden future and better economic security, the Congress has proved that it can never think of the welfare of farmers.
