International webinar in Khairagarh Music University: Padmashree Prof. Ramgopal said – to teach theater from the first grade itself

Raipur September 21, 2020. Theater is an extension of the soul. Expansion of sensations is an extension. We get this rite from childhood itself. Our entertainment arts extend our compassion. These things as a prominent speaker, well-known color worker and Prof. Padma Shri awarded. Rajagopal Bajaj said in an international webinar organized by Indira Arts and Music University Khairagarh. He also said that theater education should be imparted from the first grade itself. Is the theater of our world. In this theatrical world, we live like characters.

University Vice Chancellor Padmashri Mokshada (Mamta) Chandrakar said that wandering the theater can improve a person’s life. There is a lot of reason in the theater. He said that poetry is the best form of art and drama is the best form. He also recalled Shambhu Mitra Badal Sarkar, remembering the modern Indian theater leaders Habib Tanveer, Ibrahim Alkaji, Baba and Karanth. He described Chhattisgarh as the land of experimentation and also underlined the role of artists like Lalu Ram, Madan Nishad, Fida Bai of Chhattisgarh in Indian theater.

Renowned actor of the film and theater, Rajendra Gupta said that the theater would have been local in its original form. He belongs to that society, the city where he has roots. Remembering Ibrahim Alkaji, Rajendra Gupta said that Ibrahim Alkaji’s special influence is seen on today’s Indian theater.

Well-known theatrical writer Prof. Tripurari Sharma said that our theater community always has a responsibility towards society. The artist of folk and theater does not only show the story, but he also comments. Prof Satyavrat Raut, while discussing the contribution of B and Karanth, said that the nature of art is multi-faceted. He does not have a single perspective. The famous Norwegian litterateur, translator Sureshchandra Shukla, while discussing the Norwegian culture, said that theater is a collective creation.

While presiding over the program, Chhattisgarh’s leading litterateur and critic Dr Sushil Trivedi said that contemporary sensation is necessary for theater. Recalling Habib Tanvir and B and Karant, he said that his plays kept theater and society connected. The expression of ideas is the first condition of theater.

Well-known litterateur satirist Girish Pankaj said that due to marketism, our village is being marginalized. It is important to preserve the village language and dialect, then only we will be able to give voice to the suffering of the people. Dr. Sudhir Sharma, Managing Editor of Chhattisgarh Mitra suggested the establishment of Habib Tanveer Peeth with the aim of preserving the tradition of Habib Tanvir.

Senior journalist and critic Girijashankar said that two streams always appear in the theater. One is of folk and the other of civil. He discussed the contribution of Chhattisgarhi Lokrang Munch’s conductors Ramchandra Deshmukh, Dau Mandraji and Mahasingh Chandrakar said that Habib’s Rangkarma is an extension of that.

Rajkamal Nayak, who was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi, said that Bharatendu’s influence is seen more in plays in Chhattisgarh. At the same time Chhattisgarhi playwright Ramnath Sahu discussed the writing and theatrical experiments of Chhattisgarhi plays and insisted on restoring Chhattisgarhi plays. Recalling Bapu and Karanth, Bhupendra Sahu associated with the folk theater discussed his training and the changing nature of Chhattisgarhi folk plays. While the famous dramatist Akhtar Ali of Chhattisgarh while referring to the playwrights of Chhattisgarh, underlined the importance of Vibhu Kumar and Prem Simon.

Culturalist Subhash Mishra, while expressing his concern over the current complexion of Chhattisgarh, said that it is sad that even after a long tradition, we have not been able to create any national identity. The country’s leading playwright litterateur, Dr. Sandeep Awasthi, said that the color work of Chhattisgarh has always been modern.
