Raipur:September 21, 2020. Taking strong action against eight MPs of the opposition who created uproar during the voting on the Agriculture Bill in Rajya Sabha, Chairman Venkaiah Naidu has suspended for the entire monsoon session. At the same time, the entire day’s action was postponed in view of the controversy surrounding the suspended MPs being present in the House during the Rajya Sabha proceedings on Monday.
Discussing the agriculture bill on Sunday and then creating a ruckus during the voting, Deputy Chairman Harivansh, taking seriously on the incident like tearing the rule book and breaking the mic, TMC MP Derek O’Brien, Dola Sen, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, Congress Raju Satav, Ripun Bora, Syed Nazir Hussain and CIM (M) KK Ragesh and Elmaran Karim were suspended for the entire monsoon session.
At the same time, the motion of no confidence brought by the Opposition MPs against the Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh was rejected by Chairman Venkaiah Naidu, saying that the motion was not in proper format. The suspended MPs staged a protest in front of the Gandhi statue inside the Parliament complex after the Rajbhasha action was adjourned for the day. During this, the support of MPs from Congress and other parties of the opposition was received.
Chief Minister Baghel assigned a black day
On Sunday, the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that if the farmers of the entire country are protesting, such a matter should not be discussed in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. At the same time there is an incident in the Rajya Sabha on Sunday, there should have been a vote in it. But the process which has been adopted, it will be remembered as black day.
