The first project focused on women by the Governor Kirtish Care Foundation was included in the virtual launch program of the Unicorn Club
Organization in rural-tribal areas of Chhattisgarh
Urged to work
Raipur, September 20, 2020. Today in every village or town, there is a need for such an organization to come forward and make women aware of the use of sanitary napkins and their health problems in rural areas-slum areas, because a woman’s health will keep the whole family healthy and By keeping the family healthy, the society will remain healthy and only a healthy society will be able to contribute to the progress of the country. This was stated by Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike. She was addressing the virtual launch program of the Unicorn Club, the first project focused on women by the Kirtish Care Foundation today.
The Governor congratulated the institution for this work and said that instead of keeping it confined in one area, it should be implemented in rural and tribal areas of Chhattisgarh too. He suggested that students in the middle school and high school should be informed about the health problems of women and the use of sanitary napkins during schooling so that they will be health conscious and keep themselves healthy. It is good that the Kirtish Care Foundation will distribute sanitary trees free of cost in urban slum areas and rural-tribal areas, which is an important and humanitarian work.
The Governor said that she was a member of the National Commission for Women, when the Commission conducted a survey in rural and tribal areas of the country, it was known that women in that area use old clothes during menstruation, which causes them to face many problems have to do. Keeping this in mind, she became the ONGC when she became the Deputy Chairman of the National Tribal Commission. Urged the institution to distribute sanitary napkins from the CSR item. Accepting my request, he distributed 56 thousand sanitary napkins in rural areas and schools.
He said that in the past, we have heard and seen about the film Pedmen starring film actor Akshay Kumar. In fact, this movie was based on the life of real hero Coimbatore resident Arunachalam Muruganatham, who understood the problems of the women of his home and village. Initially he faced many challenges, faced many troubles, but he did not lose courage and built a machine that made sanitary napkins at cheaper rates. This enabled them to provide sanitary napkins to poor and backward areas. They were able to do this because they had a sense of understanding and helping the suffering of common people.
The Governor Ms. Uike said that today our society is getting educated but it is sad that there is a part of the society which is ignorant of such information and is facing such health problems. To solve such problems, we should not only look towards the government, but we also have the responsibility of civil society to come forward and work. I thank Mrs. Kirti Sudhanshu, the founder of the Kirtish Care Foundation, whose birthplace is Chhindwara and who despite working abroad took up the task of doing this for her country.
The founder of Kirtish Care Foundation, Smt. Kirti Sudhanshu, gave information about the work of the institution and on the request of the Governor said that his organization will soon implement free sanitary napkin distribution and other works in Chhattisgarh too.
Ayra magazine was also released on the occasion. More than 100 dignitaries from Africa, Sweden, United Kingdom, USA, Nigeria and India attended the event including Mrs. Vandana Rastogi, Project Director of the Unicorn Club, Mrs. SW Brown, Mr. Nitin Jain.
