Raipur. Rule 46 of Chhattisgarh Factories Rules 1962 has been amended by the state government. Notification of the amendment has been issued by the Labor Department from the Ministry, Mahanadi Bhavan. According to which in the factories where women workers are employed, at least one toilet must be made compulsory for every 25 twenty-five women.

Similarly, it is necessary to arrange a toilet for every 25 men. Where the number of men is more than 100, then one toilet for every 25 men up to the first 100 and one toilet for every 50 men after the first 100 will have to be arranged.

Women toilets will have to provide sanitary napkins in sufficient quantity as per Indian standards and will have to be re-supplied on a daily basis. The napkin used will be disposed of according to a procedure approved by the inspector. Disposable compartments in the toilet have to be kept with the lid.
