MoU on four proposals worth 508 crores for ethanol manufacturing in the state

Ethanol manufacturing units being established for the first time in Chhattisgarh

Annual target for manufacturing 117500 kiloliters of ethanol in four units

Raipur, 07 September 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that Chhattisgarh state will also have a new identity in the field of food processing in the entire country. In the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the MoU was concluded on four proposals of Rs 507 crore 82 lakh for ethanol manufacture in Chhattisgarh at his residence office here today. The annual production capacity of these units is one lakh 17 thousand 500 kiloliters of ethanol, for which about 3 lakh 50 thousand tons of paddy will be required. The four units will provide employment to 583 persons. Out of these units, two units will be set up in Mungeli and one each in Janjgir-Champa and Mahasamund. These MoUs were signed on behalf of the State Government by Principal Secretary of the Department of Industries, Mr. Manoj Pingua and industrialists of the concerned ethanol manufacturing unit.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel congratulated and congratulated the establishment of ethanol manufacturing units in the state. He said that these ethanol manufacturing units will bring significant changes in the economy of Chhattisgarh. He told that Chhattisgarh is a rice bowl. With the establishment of ethanol manufacturing units here, the excess of paddy in the state will be fully utilized. Its poor tribal farmers in the state will get rich benefits to all classes of people. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that it has been possible to set up ethanol manufacturing unit in Chhattisgarh with special initiative of the state government. He said that the identity of Chhattisgarh is known as cement, power and steel plant etc. But now the ethanol manufacturing unit here will also create a new identity in the field of food processing in Chhattisgarh.

On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that the ethanol manufacturing unit in the state has been set up by the State Government on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel keeping in view the interest of farmers here. The process of paddy procurement, production and execution is going on continuously in the state. The establishment of ethanol manufacturing unit will give special momentum to the state’s economic system. During this period, industrialists setting up ethanol manufacturing units were also asked to complete the installation of the units at the earliest. In this, all possible cooperation was assured from the state government.

Out of the four units signed for the manufacture of ethanol in the state, Messrs Chhattisgarh Distilleries Limited Kumhari will invest Rs 157 crore 50 lakh in the said project. It aims to provide employment to 100 persons. The said unit has set an annual target of producing 36 thousand 500 kiloliters of ethanol and 1825 kiloliters of impure spray. Similarly, a capital investment of Rs 130 crore will be made by M / s Chiranjeevani Realcom Private Limited Bilaspur in the said project. This will provide employment to 118 people. The unit has 18 million liters of ethanol, 18 million liters of E.N.A. And a target of annual production of 14 thousand 400 tons DDGS has been set.
Similarly, Rs 122 crore 32 lakh capital investment will be made by M / s Cubico Chemicals Private Limited Bhilai in the said project. This will provide employment to 222 persons. The unit has set an annual production target of 33 thousand kiloliters of ethanol manufacturing. Apart from this, a capital investment of Rs 98 crores will be invested in the said project by M / s Shree Shyam Warehousing & Power Private Limited. This will provide employment to 93 persons. The unit has set an annual target of producing 30 thousand kiloliters of ethanol.
On this occasion, Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Anila Bhendia, Parliamentary Secretary, Mrs. Rashmi Ashish Singh, Chairman of the State Women’s Commission, Mrs. Kiranmayi Nayak, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Alok Shukla, Secretary Dr. M. Geeta, Secretary Shri R. Prasanna, Mr. Nilesh Kshirsagar and other senior administrative officers were present.
