Bijapur. Security forces have achieved a major success in the district. Under the anti-Naxal operation, the Usur police station and the central paramilitary forces have jointly arrested five Naxalites including a member of the banned organization DKMS (Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Mazdoor Sangh) carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head. Let us tell you that as part of the campaign being run against Naxalites, a joint team of Thana Usur, CRPF 229 Battalion and Cobra 201, 205, 206 conducted a search operation in Nelakanker, Marudbaka and Kamalapur areas. During this, five Naxalites involved in suspicious activities were caught. When they were searched, Maoist propaganda material, pamphlets and small and big Everready batteries were recovered from their bags.

All the arrested naxalites were brought to Usur police station where legal action was taken against them. After this, they were presented in the Hon’ble Court, Bijapur on judicial remand.
Continuous operation by security forces continues
The security forces’ campaign to crack down on Naxal activities in Bijapur district is continuing. In recent months, many rewarded Naxalites have been arrested, which has given a big blow to the Maoist organization.
