In this important meeting, special emphasis was laid on topics like satellite based survey, geo-mapping, conservation of natural resources and promotion of smart agriculture in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said on this occasion that technological innovations can make a significant contribution in areas like agriculture, water resources, environmental protection and disaster management in Chhattisgarh. With the help of ISRO, we will work in these areas with a scientific approach, so that farmers get more accurate information and the development of the state gets accelerated.

ISRO’s expert team will visit Chhattisgarh

It was informed in the meeting that an expert team of ISRO will soon visit Chhattisgarh and conduct a detailed study of various areas in the state through satellite imagery, GIS technology and data analysis. Under this, a system will be developed in the state for soil health analysis, accurate assessment of water sources, flood and drought prediction, and data-driven decision making to increase agricultural production.

Chhattisgarh will get the benefit of state-of-the-art space technology

Chhattisgarh will benefit immensely from the use of ISRO’s expertise and modern technologies in agriculture, disaster management, smart infrastructure planning, environment and forest conservation, among others. The use of satellite data in the agriculture sector will facilitate better crop forecasting, soil quality improvement, and effective management of water resources, strengthening the early warning system of natural disasters like floods, droughts and forest fires, real-time monitoring of forest areas and prevention of illegal felling, including the use of cutting-edge space data for urban planning, transport system, and environmental balance.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the partnership between ISRO and Chhattisgarh Government will take technological progress in the state to new heights. Chhattisgarh research institutes will also be connected under this initiative, which will provide an opportunity to young scientists to contribute to innovations. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that ISRO’s cooperation in the new era of space technology will empower the state with future technologies, which will bring revolutionary changes in areas like agriculture, environment, water management and disaster mitigation.
