Raipur. There was chaos at Kalyan Jewelers located in Pandri, Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, on Friday night when the shutter of the showroom suddenly got locked. In this incident, many customers including women and children were trapped inside for two hours. At the same time, the employees pushed and misbehaved with the media persons who had come to cover this incident.
How did the accident happen?
According to the information, customers were shopping at Kalyan Jewelers showroom late on Friday night. Suddenly the shutter got locked, due to which the customers inside panicked. When the media got this news, the reporters reached the spot for coverage. But the showroom employees reacted angrily on seeing the media and stopped the reporting journalists from going inside. The employees also misbehaved with Press Club Vice President Sandeep Shukla. During this, he recorded a video, which is now going viral.

People were taken out by cutting the shutter
It is worth noting that as soon as the incident was reported, the Civil Line Police reached the spot and started trying to open the shutter. But when the shutter did not open, it was cut with a gas cutter. After about two hours of hard work, the people trapped inside were safely evacuated.
2 employees detained, investigation underway
The police have detained two employees Akhil A and Pawan Tiwari who misbehaved with the media persons and have started investigating the entire case. It is also being ascertained whether the shutter got locked on its own or someone closed it intentionally. At present, the police is investigating the case thoroughly and CCTV footage is also being examined so that it can be clear whether the incident happened due to technical fault or due to someone’s negligence.
