Instructions to expedite the work of convenience of devotees

Preparations for Chhattisgarh’s famous Rajim Kumbh Kalpa Mela are going on in full swing at the new fair site. This grand religious and cultural event will run from 14 February to 28 February 2025. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrat Sahu today inspected the Rajim Kumbh site and directed the officials to complete all the necessary preparations expeditiously.
He said that the convenience of the devotees coming to the fair should be given top priority so that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience. During this, many senior officials including Raipur Division Commissioner Shri Mahadev Kavre, Managing Director Shri Vivek Acharya, Collector Shri Deepak Agarwal, Superintendent of Police Shri Nikhil Rakhecha were present.
Rajim Kumbh Kalpa Mela is the biggest religious event of Chhattisgarh, which is also called ‘Prayagraj of Chhattisgarh’. This Kumbh is organized from Magh Purnima to Mahashivratri at Triveni Sangam (Rajim), in which saints’ meeting, aarti and special worship are done. Sadhus, saints, devotees and tourists from all over the country participate in this Kumbh.
The Additional Chief Secretary directed the officers to ensure all the necessary facilities at the fair site. He gave important instructions regarding stage construction, shops, departmental stalls, Meena bazaar, food zone, parking, helipad, drinking water, cleanliness, security and transport arrangements.
The Additional Chief Secretary gave instructions to make necessary arrangements at the main stage of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa, Saint Congregation Sthal, Aarti Sthal and Kuleshwar Mahadev Temple, along with ensuring arrangements for dal-bhaat centre, temporary huts and firewood for the stay and food of the devotees. He also gave instructions to make arrangements for CCTV surveillance of the fair premises, police security, deployment of fire brigade and ambulance, decoration on the river bank, lighting, toilets and high mast lights, bus service for the devotees from the bus stand to the fair site at a fixed fee, and also to the Forest Department, Water Resources Department, Public Works Department, PHE Department and other departments to complete their works soon.
Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Sahu inspected VIP parking, movement of common devotees, stage arrangements, Meena Bazaar, food zone and helipad site at the new fair site and gave necessary instructions. He instructed to complete the road work under construction from Rajiv Lochan Temple, Sant Samagam Sthal and Aarti Sthal to the new fair site soon.
