Raipur. Raipur Range Cyber Cell has arrested four bank officials under Operation Cyber Shield in a major action. A crime has been registered against the officials of Utkarsh Finance Bank located in Civil Lines in the mule bank account case. So far 72 accused have been arrested in this case.
Raipur Range IG Amresh Mishra has directed the Cyber Thana Police to take action against those who open mule accounts and commit fraud. Under this, more than 20 teams were formed recently and raids were conducted in more than 50 places in different states including Chhattisgarh. The team arrested a total of 68 people including mule bank account holders and brokers.
During interrogation of the accused, it was revealed that four bank officials of Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Civil Lines branch, were involved in the scam. Following this, a case was registered today at Civil Lines police station under Crime No. 44/25 Sections 317(2), 317(4), 317(5), 111, 3(5) BNS and all the four accused were arrested.
