With the blessings of Lord Shri Ram, the epitome of character, Chhattisgarh is rapidly progressing towards becoming a developed state. Our government has been in power for only 13 months. Meanwhile, we have done many important works of public service with sensitivity for good governance. He said that with the formation of the government, we have made continuous efforts to improve the living standards of people in urban and rural areas along with the development of all sections. This has led to the development of infrastructure, cleanliness, clean drinking water and health facilities in cities and rural areas. Our first year was dedicated to the development of socially and economically backward people. The state has established new dimensions of development. We are continuously working for the welfare of all sections. Our government has fulfilled most of the guarantees of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi within a year. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the ‘Nagariya Vikas Ke Sopan’ program organized at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium.

The Chief Minister said that if the representatives from the head of the country, the Prime Minister to the village sarpanch, have a development mindset, then Chhattisgarh will develop in all aspects with the motto of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. He said that there should be coordinated development of villages and urban areas, for which adequate availability of human resources is necessary. There was a long standing demand for compassionate appointment in urban bodies. We have also approved new posts for this after considering it with sensitivity. In the Sopan program of Urban Development, we have just distributed orders for compassionate appointment on 103 posts today. Our effort is to increase employment opportunities in the state and make more and more youth self-reliant. Our government has approved 353 posts for compassionate appointment in the Urban Administration and Development Department and various urban bodies.

The Chief Minister said that the foundation stone of 813 works worth Rs 155 crore 38 lakh and inauguration of 70 works worth Rs 15 crore 25 lakh has been done here in various urban bodies. With everyone’s participation in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, urban areas are getting great success. To encourage cleanliness, we are also honoring those who do excellent work from time to time.
