Raipur, 02 September 2020. Allocation of kerosene has been released by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department for distribution to consumers in the month of September by fair price shops and hawkers. A total allocation of 4656 kilo liters of kerosene has been released for the month of September for ration cards and hawkers prevailing under the Chhattisgarh Food and Nutrition Security Act. All the priority, Antyodaya and Annapurna ration cards prevailing under the public distribution system in September 2020 will be eligible for kerosene.
Food department officials said that maximum 2 liters of kerosene will be eligible for ration card holders in urban areas, maximum 3 liters in scheduled areas under rural areas and maximum 2 liters of kerosene in non-scheduled areas. The hawkers who distribute the kerosene will stand in front of the fair price shop set by the district administration and distribute the kerosene to the ration card holders. A separate allocation for hawkers at the value of 85 liters per hawker has been issued.
Of the total kerosene released by the Food Department for the month of September, 192 kilo liters of kerosene has been released for Bastar district. Similarly for Bijapur 60, Dantewada 72, Kanker 156, Kondagaon 144, Narayanpur 24, Sukma 60, Korba 144, Bemetra 108, Durg 156, Kawardha 132, Rajnandgaon 360, Dhamtari 96, Gariaband 180, Balrampur 192 kg liter, Bilaspur 240 , Janjgir-Champa 240, Mungeli 108, Raigad 396, Balod 96, Balodabazar 216, Mahasamund 180, Raipur 216, Jashpur 228, Korea 144, Sarguja 240 and 216 kg liters for Surajpur district and 60 for Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi district Allocation of kilo liters of kerosene has been released.
