Raipur . Two officials of Chhattisgarh Housing Board have been suspended. On the instructions of Housing and Environment Minister OP Choudhary, Executive Engineer CK Thakur and Assistant Engineer Neeraj Thakur have been suspended after irregularities were found in the construction work. Along with this, a notice has been issued to blacklist the contractor M/s NK Construction Durg. On this action, Minister OP Choudhary said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, no irregularities will be tolerated in quality and administrative work.According to the information, complaints were received regarding the construction work of GAD housing buildings in Bhairamgarh, Bhopalpattam and Usur (Awapalli) of Bijapur district. After this, an investigation was conducted at the headquarters level, in which delay and other irregularities were found in the construction work. The investigation also revealed that M/s NK Construction was paid more than the work done during the previous regime. The contractor was also paid for the work which he did not do.
After this, Kundan Kumar, Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Housing Board, issued a suspension order with immediate effect to ensure transparency and good governance, so that the citizens of the state can get quality and timely government housing.
