In the coming time, infrastructure worth about 60 to 70 thousand crore rupees is going to be ready in the state. In the sequence of strengthening all the basic and basic structures, the Sai government of the state has also strongly increased the road, rail and air services of the state. This initiative of holistic development will also be very effective in promoting economic development in Chhattisgarh, improving connectivity and creating new employment opportunities.

New flights starting from Bilaspur and Jagdalpur, two major cities of Chhattisgarh, have given new wings to the dreams of the people of this region. Everyone is expressing their gratitude to the head of the state. Maa Mahamaya Airport in Ambikapur has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Not only this, facilities are also being expanded in Ambikapur and Jagdalpur airports. Budget is also proposed for the expansion of Jashpur and Balrampur airstrips. 4 national highways are being developed with Rs 11 thousand crore. The total length of these projects is 236.1 km. Rs 9208 crore has also been approved for its first phase. Urga-Katghora bypass (NH-149B), Basna to Sarangarh (Manikpur) feeder route, Sarangarh to Raigarh feeder route and Raipur-Lakhanadon economic corridor are included in this project.

Under the good governance of Vishnu Dev Sai government, transportation is going to be very easy. A big plan to expand the national highways in Chhattisgarh is underway. In the coming days, a network of roads will be laid in Chhattisgarh. Looking at the good governance of the Sai government in Chhattisgarh, it is being said that within 2 years, the road network of Chhattisgarh will become like the network of American roads. On the initiative of the head of the state, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved works worth Rs 20 thousand crores in Chhattisgarh in the convention of the Indian Road Congress. Not only this, four national highways will be made four-lane. Four more flyovers are going to be built in the capital Raipur itself. It has been announced to approve funds for making the national highways from Dhamtari to Jagdalpur, Raipur to Balodabazar-Sarangpur, Katghora to Ambikapur and Bilaspur to Akaltara-Raigarh to Odisha border four-lane.

Funds sanctioned for construction of several single lane and two lane roads

Funds have also been sanctioned for the construction of several single lane and two lane roads in Chhattisgarh. Announcement has also been made to sanction funds for the construction of flyovers at Sarona, Udyog Bhawan, Telibandha and Dhaneli Junction in Raipur. There are three more roads which have also been approved for one time improvement work. 8 other works have been approved under the road fund with Rs 908 crore. Four lane widening work of Keshkal Ghat and Dhamtari-Jagdalpur road has been approved. Raipur-Visakhapatnam road and Bilaspur-Urga-Pathalgaon road are to be completed within the time limit. Processes have been expedited for the construction of Pathalgaon to Kunkuri-Jharkhand Border road. Consent has been given to build grade separator between Tatibandh and Telibandha and grade separator on the road connecting Vidhan Sabha Road to Bilaspur Road and Raipur Expressway.
To promote industrial activities around National Highways, it has been decided to construct Korba- Bilaspur Industrial Corridor.

Announcement of sanctioning funds for four-laning of national highways

Chhattisgarh has also reached the top-5 states in taking advantage of the Scheme of Special Assistance to States for Capital Expenditure of the Central Government. Chhattisgarh state has moved ahead in comparison to states like Assam, Gujarat, Himachal, Tripura, Goa and Sikkim. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai’s formula for taking Chhattisgarh forward in totality is a visionary concept. Strong roads and easy means of transport are essential for agriculture, industry and employment; Chief Minister Sai has given it the top priority for development. It has been announced that funds will be sanctioned for four-laning of national highways from Dhamtari to Jagdalpur, Raipur to Balodabazar-Sarangarh, Katghora to Ambikapur and Bilaspur to Akaltara – Raigarh to Odisha Border.

Chhattisgarh gets the gift of four new railway projects

On the special initiative of the state’s Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Chhattisgarh has also received approval for four new rail projects, the first of which is the Dharamjaigarh Pathalgaon-Lohardaga rail line, which will be built at a length of 240 km and cost 16 thousand crores. The second project is Ambikapur-Barwadih new rail line, whose length is 200 km and cost is estimated at 9 thousand crores. The third project is Kharsia-Nayaraipur-Paramalkasa new rail line, which will be 277 km long and its cost will be around 8 thousand crores. The fourth project is Raodhat-Jagdalpur new rail line, whose length is 140 km and cost is estimated at 3500 crores. Even before this approval, the work of construction of Korba Dharamjaigarh rail line has been started with a budget of about 16 thousand crores. In Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of the head of the state and the attention of the central government, DPR of 4 other railway projects has been prepared, which include Ambikapur-Barwadih railway line, Kharsia-Naya Raipur-Paramalkasa railway line, Raoghat-Jagdalpur railway line, Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga railway line.

300 crore approved for Katghora to Dongargarh railway line

Rs 300 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of Katghora to Dongargarh railway line. Its construction will reduce the load of goods trains running on the Nagpur-Jharsuguda railway route. Bridge construction is also very important for the convenience of transportation. The high level bridge of Rs 17.17 crore built on Chhindai river on Madwani-Kachar-Taraimaar-Kudmura road of Kartala development block has given a big gift of convenience to the villagers. Villager Kamal Singh Chauhan says, ‘Earlier one had to travel long distances and risk life in the rain. Now this bridge is making life safe and travel easy.’
