Raipur . A meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee was held today in Mahanadi Bhawan Ministry under the chairmanship of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Dayal Baghel. In the meeting, brainstorming was done for 100% disposal of 160 to 165 lakh metric tonnes of paddy estimated by the state government. 125 lakh metric tonnes of paddy can be disposed of in the central and state pools. The tender process for auction of approximately 40 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was discussed in detail. A consensus has been reached on the decision to start the auction process in the second week of February after paddy procurement. The final decision will be taken in the meeting of the Council of Ministers. The members of the Cabinet Sub-Committee also gave their suggestions for 100% disposal of paddy.
