CM Sai held a meeting with secretaries and department heads on New Year: Gave the mantra to tighten government work, said- solve the problems of the public quickly

On the first day of the new year today, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai held a meeting with the secretaries and heads of all departments in the Secretariat and directed to bring transparency and agility in government work as well as prompt and effective resolution of matters related to the general public.Chief Minister Sai said in the meeting that any kind of laxity in administrative work will not be tolerated. He said that from senior administrative officers to lower level officers and employees should come to the office on time and discharge their duties with full diligence. Chief Minister Sai said that to achieve the goal of developed Chhattisgarh, we all have to work with team spirit.He said in the meeting that in the year 2024, we have fulfilled the major guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The year 2025 is the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh. The silver jubilee year has special significance for Chhattisgarh, so discharge your responsibilities with great enthusiasm and sincerity. The Chief Minister instructed the officers to conduct special campaigns and dispose of the pending files promptly. He directed to smoothly implement the system of e-office in all offices including the ministry.

CM Sai said that he himself will review the work of all the departments. While instructing all the departmental secretaries to regularly review their departments, he said that along with virtual review every month, physical review should also be done every 3 months. Also, try to resolve the problems arising in the implementation of big schemes in a timely manner and inform the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary. The Chief Minister said that it is important to resolve the problems of the common man on time.

Chief Minister Sai said that our focus should be on ease of living and ease of doing business. There is a very good environment for investment in Chhattisgarh right now. Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Policy 2024-2030 is being appreciated all over the country. Take special care that investors get the benefit of the new industrial policy.

He said that the law and order situation in the state should be strong. He said that in the last one year we have achieved great success on the Naxal front. We have succeeded in establishing peace in Naxal-affected areas. There is a need to take the government’s schemes to the Naxal-affected areas. It is very important that the people of the area get the benefit of the Niyyad Nella Nar scheme. We have opened many security camps in Naxalite areas. Keep in mind that the works of the concerned department which come under the Niyyad Nella Nar scheme should be completed in these areas at a fast pace. It is a work of service to take the benefits of the government’s scheme to the remote tribal-dominated areas of Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister said that the secretaries in charge of the districts should visit the districts every two months. During this time, they should visit the interior areas of the district and gather field information, only then the actual status of implementation of schemes at the ground level will be known. He instructed the secretaries in charge to compulsorily inform the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary about the situation there during their visit to the district.

Chief Minister Sai also instructed to take special care of administrative strictness in the districts. The Chief Minister said that there is a need to pay a lot of attention to the traffic system. Nowadays many road accidents are happening. Strong arrangements should be made to prevent road accidents by running a campaign so that it can be reduced. There is a need to strictly stop the smuggling of drugs from other states to Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Sai said that in the last one year, good efforts have been made to stop the illegal drug trade, there is a need to speed it up further.

Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force V Srinivas Rao, Principal Secretary, Secretary and Head of Department along with other officers were present in the meeting.
