300 multipurpose PACS, dairy and fisheries cooperative societies launched in Chhattisgarh, Cooperative Minister Kashyap gave registration certificates to the societies

Raipur. Under the Central Government’s Sahakar Se Samriddhi Abhiyan, the cooperative movement is being strengthened in Chhattisgarh. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, along with increasing new facilities in cooperative societies, the formation of new cooperative societies in the field of dairy, fisheries is being encouraged to strengthen the rural economy. Forest and Cooperative Minister Kedar Kashyap today inaugurated more than 300 newly formed multipurpose PACS, dairy and fisheries cooperative societies formed in the state in Jagdalpur. It is worth noting that the Forest and Cooperative Minister joined virtually on the occasion of the launch of more than 10 thousand newly formed multipurpose PACS, dairy and fisheries cooperative societies across the country in the program organized by Home and Cooperative Minister of India Amit Shah in New Delhi.Forest and Cooperative Minister Kedar Kashyap, while paying tribute to former Prime Minister of the country, Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Good Governance Day, said that currently 2058 PACS and LAMPS working in the state are providing agricultural loans, fertilizers, seeds and various types of services to the farmers of the state. They are being made more capable. The process of formation of 500 new multipurpose PACS is under process in the state. He said that a tripartite MoU has been done with NDDB, State Milk Union and State Government to increase the income of milk producing farmers in the state. More than 57 new milk societies have been registered in the state. 113 Van-Dhan societies of the state have also been registered as primary multipurpose minor forest produce cooperative societies. 169 new fisheries societies have been formed.

Cooperative Minister Kashyap said that in the last one year, 16 new branches of cooperative banks have been started. 2058 micro ATMs have been made available in PACS committees. Common Service Centre facility has been provided to 2014 PACS committees of the state and Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra has been started in 25 PACS committees. He said that recruitment process for more than 300 posts has been completed in Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Bank and 06 District Cooperative Central Banks and appointment letters have been provided to the candidates. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendra has been established in 2058 PACS of the state, after being fully developed, farmers will be able to get information related to soil testing, weather forecast and agricultural technology in these centers. Under the food storage scheme, 725 new warehouses of 200 metric ton capacity are being constructed, out of which construction of 625 warehouses has been completed.

Bastar MP Mahesh Kashyap also addressed the program. On this occasion, registration certificates were given to 10 new cooperative societies of Bastar region, Rupay Kisan Credit Cards to 25 farmers and micro ATM was given to milk producing cooperative society Bade Kapsi. Along with this, certificates were given to the state’s first e-PACS committee Orchha, cooperative societies Madded, Kesharpal and Narayanpur which did the maximum number of transactions through micro ATM, and PACS committees Maadpal, Kanker, Keralapal and Banskot for better operation of Public Service Center.
