Raipur, 31 August 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has expressed deep grief over the demise of freedom fighter fighter, teacher and former MLA Mr. Dev Prasad Arya. Expressing deepest condolences to the bereaved families, they have prayed to God to grant them the strength to bear this hour of grief.
It is noteworthy that Shri Dev Prasad Arya, during the current Madhya Pradesh, was elected from Ambagarh Chowki assembly constituency in Rajnandgaon district from 1962 to 1972 and did remarkable services to the region. He also took part in the freedom struggle, as a result of which he remained in Raipur Jail from December 1, 1942 to July 29, 1943. Shri Arya died today in Hathra village, home of Manpur tehsil of Rajnandgaon district.
