Rules of Paush month
- Donate blankets, warm clothes, jaggery, sesame seeds etc. in the month of Paush.
- In this month, apart from Sun, also worship Lord Vishnu.
- Do not consume meat and alcohol in the month of Paush.
- In this month, offer water to Sun God only from a copper vessel.
If you are able to keep fast in this month, then you should keep fast on Sunday and should not use salt in food. You should only eat fruits. On the day of Sunday fast, offer sesame-rice khichdi to Sun God.
