CG Crime: Youths cheated of lakhs of rupees in the name of getting jobs in the ministry, one accused arrested, search for two others continues

Dhamtari. The police has arrested the accused who committed fraud of lakhs of rupees in the name of job. Two other accused will also be arrested soon in this case. The accused had collected huge amount from the victims in the name of getting them jobs on the posts of Assistant Grade 03 and Data Entry Operator in the General Administration Department of the Ministry and other departments. This case is of Arjuni police station areaAccording to the information, the victim Vivekanand Sahu had lodged a complaint with the police that in the year 2020, he came in contact with the accused Bhavendra Kumar Agarwal (51 years) through Mansukh Sahu, a resident of village Sambalpur. The accused lured him into getting a job as Assistant Grade 3 in Mantralaya Raipur and demanded Rs 6 lakh for this. During this time, the accused took money several times, but did not get him a job. In return, the accused sent fake appointment letters and other documents through WhatsApp. When the money was demanded back, the accused returned some amount, but still did not return the remaining amount.

In this case, a case of fraud has been registered in Arjuni police station under section 420. During the investigation, screenshots of the documents sent by the accused and audio of the conversation were also seized. After finding sufficient evidence against the accused, he has been arrested and sent on judicial remand. The police is now taking action to arrest the other two accused.

Apart from extorting Rs 12 lakh from Vivekanand Sahu and Chitrakha Sahu, the accused also received Rs 23 lakh from five other people and Rs 49 lakh from eight other persons. More arrests will be made soon against the accused and his accomplices.
