Raipur. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, paddy procurement is happening smoothly in Chhattisgarh. Paddy procurement, which started on November 14 in the state, is continuing without any interruption till now and 45.78 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured so far. On the initiative of the Chief Minister, this campaign is being continuously monitored, which is helping the farmers to sell their paddy without any hassle.

So far, more than Rs 10,001 crore has been paid to 9.79 lakh farmers. The purchase of paddy will continue till 31 January 2025. The process of lifting paddy by the millers has also started, and so far distribution orders (DO) have been issued for lifting 2.51 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, out of which 51 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted.

According to the Food Department officials, 27.68 lakh farmers have registered this year, out of which 1.45 lakh are new farmers. In the coming days, 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is expected to be purchased through 2,739 procurement centres.

On 12 December 2024, 2.66 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was purchased from 67,479 farmers and more than 92 thousand tokens were issued for this. 93,160 tokens have been issued for the coming days.

To solve the problems of farmers, the state government has issued helpline number 0771-2425463, where they can register their complaints.
