Major accident in Shri Cement factory: Driver suffering from chest pain died after being crushed by a Hiva, Drivers Union is protesting by keeping the body at the gate

, Balodabazar. The continuous accidents happening at the Shri Cement factory located at Khapardih in the district are raising questions about the safety arrangements there. The employees seem to be scared of the continuous accidents and deaths. Today, a driver died in an accident at Shri Cement, after which the angry Drivers’ Union is demanding compensation by keeping the body of the deceased outside the factory.

According to information received from sources, 50-year-old truck driver PK Lal Sawar, a resident of Odisha, had come to load cement at the packing plant, when suddenly he felt chest pain. During this, his helper went to the officer to ask for help, but the ambulance did not come immediately. Meanwhile, the driver was writhing in pain. During this time, a Hyda passing by crushed him. After the accident, PK Lal Sawar was rushed to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead there.

Workers sit on strike outside the factory

Let us tell you that the drivers union, angry with this incident, has sat on a dharna outside the factory demanding compensation as well as employment for the family members of the deceased. It is worth mentioning that just a few days ago, a worker died after falling from the top in an accident here. The workers were not yet able to recover from this accident when today again a death occurred in an accident, which is raising questions on the safety management and working system of Shri Cement. At the same time, when an attempt was made to contact the management to get information regarding the incident, the phone was not received.
