Congress started ‘Chalo Paddy Procurement Center’ campaign, PCC Chief Deepak Baij accused BJP of cheating the farmers

, Jagdalpur . Accusing the government of cheating the farmers, the Congress on Tuesday started the ‘Chalo Paddy Procurement Centre’ campaign in the state. Under this campaign, Congress state president Deepak Baij visited various paddy procurement centres of Chitrakote assembly and met the farmers and understood their problems.

Deepak Baij, while inspecting Baranji, Chhapar Bhanpuri and Karanji and other paddy procurement centres, launched a major attack on the BJP government accusing it of cheating the farmers once again. He said that the government had promised to pay the lump sum amount for the procurement, but it was not fulfilled. He also accused the government of going back on its promise of procuring 21 quintals of paddy per acre.
