But there is still suspense on whether the election for the post of mayor and chairman will be direct or indirect. Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Bodies Minister Arun Saw said that the government will soon take a decision in this regardAfter a meeting with BJP MPs, MLAs and divisional officials of Bastar Surguja Bilaspur division in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao told the media that we will have to wait for a longer decision on whether the election of the mayor and chairman will be direct or not. The government will take a decision on this very soon.
