Surguja. A case of digital fraud has come to light with a young businessman living in Kedarpur area of Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh . However, due to the alertness of the businessman, he did not fall into the traap of cyber fraudsters. Shivesh recorded the video of the entire incident and informed the police, after which the police have registered a case against unknown fraudsters in the matter and started investigating.Young businessman Shivesh Singh received a call via WhatsApp in which the caller claimed to be an officer of and alleged that objectionable messages had been sent to several people from Shivesh’s number. Threatening action, the fraud instructed the businessman to lock himself in a room.
After this, the caller asked Shivesh for his Aadhaar number and PAN card details. But, the businessman’s alertness and awareness saved him from being a victim of fraud. Shivesh did not share any information on the call and disconnected the call.
Video recording exposed the fraudsters
Shivesh recorded a video of the entire incident, in which it can be clearly seen how the thugs were trying to arrest him digitally by creating mental pressure.
Police filed FIR and appealed to be cautious
Surguja Additional Superintendent of Police Amolak Singh said that after the businessman’s complaint, on the basis of the video, the police have registered a First Information Report in the case and started investigation. Such cyber thugs try to obtain confidential information of the victim by putting them under mental pressure and carry out the fraud.

Giving information about this matter, the police has appealed to the people to avoid such calls and be cautious. Also, he said that if anyone faces such an incident, then immediately inform the police. In cases of digital arrest, the thugs create pressure through phone calls or messages. Do not share your confidential information on any suspicious call and report such incidents immediately to the cyber crime branch.
