Strict action will be taken against those who spread confusion among farmers

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has said that as per Modiji’s guarantee, this year too paddy is being purchased from farmers at the rate of 21 quintals per acre. Farmers should not have any confusion regarding this matter. He said that strict action will be taken against those who spread confusion in this regard.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that paddy procurement is the top priority of the government. The state government is procuring paddy from the registered farmers of the state at the support price with full commitment. Keeping in mind the interest of the farmers, the facility of withdrawing money from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 10,000 from the micro ATMs of the procurement centers has also been provided. This will facilitate the farmers in paying the freight and porterage of tractors, matadors etc. hired for transporting paddy.
It is noteworthy that under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the process of continuous paddy procurement is going on in Chhattisgarh. The paddy procurement campaign started from 14 November will continue till 31 January 2025. 27.68 lakh farmers have registered for the Kharif year. This includes 1.45 lakh new farmers. This year 160 lakh metric paddy procurement is estimated through 2739 procurement centers. Arrangements have been made for paddy procurement through biometric devices in all procurement centers. Paddy produced by small, marginal and big farmers will be purchased at the prescribed support price. He said that arrangements for adequate gunny bags, shade, water etc. have been ensured in all procurement centers. Helpline numbers have also been pasted in paddy procurement centers for complaints and redressal.
Special monitoring has been arranged in the border areas of the state and check posts have been established. At the state level, an investigation team of senior state level officials has been formed for different districts, who are continuously monitoring the paddy procurement taking place in the districts.
