Let us tell you that a dispute broke out between two groups of youths between 1 and 2 am on the night of 25 and 26 June near Globe Chowk under Bhilai Nagar police station area. After this dispute, a group which included miscreant Amit Josh, opened fire on Aditya Singh and Sunil Yadav, residents of Vishrampur. Both the youths were seriously injured in this attack. After which Ramanjit Singh lodged a complaint in the matter.
After the incident, the police arrested Josh’s associates R. Yashwant Naidu, Ankur Sharma, B Lucky George, Shakar Bhat, Sagar, Mukul Sona, Rupesh Singh and Bijji Morris on different dates. However, till then the main accused in this case, Josh, was absconding. A week ago, on November 8, at around 5 pm, Amit Josh was seen near a bush behind the Jayanti Stadium in Bhilai. During this, he started firing from a pistol on seeing the police, and was killed in retaliatory action.
It is worth noting that after Josh’s encounter, Durg district SP Jitendra Shukla while talking to the media shared the special things related to the encounter and said that the case is not over yet. Those who supported Amit Josh are being searched. In this case, the police was looking for Amit Josh’s associate D Santosh Rao. After Amit Josh’s encounter, Santosh Rao was also hiding to escape from the police. He was detained on the information of the informer and during interrogation he admitted to helping Amit Josh. On the information of Santosh Rao, the ppolice have recovered the Activa used by Amit Josh to escape from the parking of Pendra Road Railway Station.
