Dharsiwa. In a heart wrenching incident at Tilda railway station of Raipur district, the head constable did a courageous job of rescuing a mother and her child from the jaws of death. This incident happened when a female passenger was trying to get off the train holding her child to her chest, at the same time the train suddenly moved forward. Due to slipping of her feet, the woman got stuck between the train and the platform. During this time, the woman started seeing death in front of her while holding her child to her chest.
The name of the female passenger is Eena Yadav (25 years), who had come to Tilda from Raipur by train number 12856 Itwari Bilaspur Express after the treatment of her child. As the train moved ahead, Eena’s foot slipped and got stuck between the platform and the train, and as the speed of the train increased, the situation was becoming more serious for Eena.
At such a time, Head Constable R.P. Jangde, who was on duty, immediately showed courage and called out to the woman, “Don’t panic, don’t move, I will stop the train.” His voice boosted the woman’s morale and then he appealed to the passengers to pull the chain of the train. In a few moments, the train stopped and Head Constable Jangde took the woman and her baby out safely. Seeing this incident, the people present on the platform became emotional and everyone praised this courageous act of the Head Constable.
