Raipur. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari today inaugurated the 83rd session of the Indian Road Congress (IRC) held at the Science College Campus in Raipur. Chhattisgarh received a gift of 20 thousand crore rupees
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has given a gift of Rs 20 thousand crore to Chhattisgarh. On the demand of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Gadkari announced many important projects, in which DPR was approved for making it 4 lanes. Single lane was approved to be converted into two lanes. Announced the construction of four flyovers in Raipur. Approval has been given for the construction of flyovers at Sarona, Telibandha, Udyog Bhawan and Dhaneli Junction in Raipur.
Emphasis on transplantation of trees
Regarding felling of trees, the Union Minister said that when roads are built, trees should be transplanted instead of felled. He said that till now we have transplanted 3.5 crore trees on NHI. Chhattisgarh’s national highway network will be like America within two years.
