Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai visited the photo exhibition of the Public Relations Department on the second evening of Rajyotsav. On this occasion, the Chief Minister went to the artists present there and expressed his happiness by playing the Mandar. Chief Minister Shri Sai was seen in a different style today, dancing to the beats of Mandar with the artists. Seeing the Chief Minister’s connection with Chhattisgarhi art and culture and his simple behavior, people became his admirers and expressed their happiness by clapping. On this occasion, Rikhi Kshatriya presented a Mandar to the Chief Minister on his behalf.

It is noteworthy that various schemes, development works and public welfare projects of the state have been displayed in the exhibition of the Public Relations Department. The Chief Minister appreciated the schemes and achievements shown in the exhibition and called it an important medium to increase awareness among the public. On this occasion, he listened to the speech given in Hindi by former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the United Nations General Assembly, being broadcast through LED TV there, wearing headphones.

It is noteworthy that on 4 October 1977, late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, while representing India as the foreign minister, delivered his speech in Hindi at the United Nations General Assembly. In his speech, he raised many serious issues like nuclear disarmament and terrorism. His speech became unforgettable and historic because he spoke in Hindi. He said that India wants friendship with all countries and India will always play a leading role in world peace. He strongly put forward the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam on the world stage and said that I assure this General Assembly on behalf of India that we will never lag behind in the time of sacrifice and renunciation for the attainment of the ideals of one world and for the welfare and glory of mankind.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai described the speech of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpayee as historic and said that it will make India proud. Chief Minister Shri Sai rewarded the students of Dani School and Kali Bari School, who were winners in the Prashna Mala programme at the Public Relations Department’s exhibition, and encouraged them. Students Lavina Verma, Kiran Sahu Suman, Mahima Verma, Deepika Dhiwar urged the Chief Minister to organize such events from time to time. In the Public Relations exhibition, Rikhi Kshatriya Bhilai has displayed musical instruments of Chhattisgarh to preserve and propagate the culture of Chhattisgarh.
