Raipur . The Election Commission of India has released the program for special summary revision of photo electoral rolls for any kind of amendment in name registration, deletion, transfer and entry in the voter list on the eligibility date of January 1, 2025.
In a meeting held today with the representatives of the recognized political parties of the state in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Chhattisgarh, Joint Chief Electoral Officer P.S. Dhruv gave detailed information in this regard. He appealed to the political parties to cooperate with the Commission in preparing a pure and error-free voter list. Also, by making people aware, motivate them to register their names in the voter list in maximum numbers. Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Vinay Agarwal was also present in the meeting.
Joint Chief Electoral Officer P.S. Dhruv told the representatives of political parties in the meeting that as per the program issued by the Election Commission of India for the special summary revision of the electoral roll, preliminary publication of the voter list will be done in all the polling stations in the remaining 89 assembly constituencies of the state except Raipur Nagar (South) Assembly constituency on October 29. With this, the process of receiving claims/objections will start. Citizens can submit claims/objections till November 28. During this period, special camps will also be organized in all polling stations on November 9-10 and November 16-17. After redressal of the received claims/objections, the final publication of the electoral roll will be done on January 6, 2025. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, preliminary publication of the photoless voter list on October 29 and final publication on January 6 will also be done on the website of Chief Electoral Officer Office, Chhattisgarh https://ceochhattisgarh.nic.in . Citizens can download the voter list polling station wise and view it.
