Higher technical educational institutions like NIT Raipur and youth like you should have the enthusiasm to understand such possibilities and put them into action. The more you expand the scope of your contribution, the more your personal development will be. Big thinking gives birth to big aspirations. Only big aspirations take the form of impressive reality.
While motivating the students, the President said that those who continue to do their work with full dedication, morality and efficiency, easily get the respect of the people. All of you keep moving forward on the path of duty with dedication. Success and prestige will follow you. Giving the example of former President and scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, he said that working for the welfare of others makes personal life meaningful and social life better. Former President Dr. Kalam earned immense fame by using science and technology for the security of the country and social welfare.
President Murmu said at the convocation that the Government of India had launched the India Semiconductor Mission three years ago to make the country a global semiconductor manufacturing hub. The semiconductor industry is very important from the point of view of economic development, national security and technological self-reliance. Young engineers will get many opportunities for employment and start-ups in this industry. She said that the talented engineers of our country have established such unique enterprises, which no one could have even imagined. On the strength of engineering talent pool like you, ambitious plans are being made in the country and they are being implemented. The President expressed hope that the youth will build a developed India. With the efforts of the youth, India will further strengthen its position in the world.
Addressing the convocation as the special guest, Governor Ramen Deka said that today we are all celebrating a historic occasion, which is the result of years of hard work, patience and dedication of the students. Every student present here faced academic challenges, made friends with classmates and went through wonderful experiences together, which has brought them to this position today. Adopt moral and educational values for success: Governor

The government led by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has done a lot to promote educational infrastructure. Along with this, research and innovation in technical institutions are also being promoted in Chhattisgarh. The current Sai government of the state has made various efforts to promote technical education and skill development. Along with this, the workforce can be molded according to the needs of the industries. Addressing the convocation ceremony of National Institute of Technology as a special guest, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai called it a historic and proud day for the institute on the first arrival of President Draupadi Murmu at the National Institute of Technology. He expressed gratitude to the President that she has given two days of her precious time to the state to encourage the talents and citizens of Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister congratulated all the graduate, post graduate, PhD students who received degrees from the National Institute of Technology. The Chief Minister also said that this state is full of natural resources. There is a lot of potential for industrial development here. Accordingly, we have also taken a pledge to build a developed Chhattisgarh. This pledge cannot be fulfilled without the contribution of you people.
India is going to become the third largest economy of the world: CM Sai
Chief Minister Sai said that our country is going to become the third largest economy in the world. While strengthening the economy of Chhattisgarh, we are also preparing for a big boost in it. The country and the state have great expectations from young talents like you. Today, the new National Education Policy has been implemented in the state. It emphasizes on skill development along with knowledge among the students. Our coming generation will be technically skilled and full of entrepreneurship. We are also modernizing 160 industrial training institutes of the state. Road, rail, air and communication networks are being expanded very rapidly in Chhattisgarh. In the coming days, we will have a very large team of youth who will be able to establish this state on new heights of development with their knowledge, imagination and talent. Chairman of the Board of Governors of Raipur NIT Dr. Suresh Haware and Director Dr. NV Ramana Rao also addressed the convocation. President Draupadi Murmu presented gold medals to 11 toppers of various engineering branches of NIT for the year 2023. She presented two gold medals to Computer Science and Engineering and NIT’s overall topper Yash Bansal. The President gave gold medals to Bachelor of Architecture topper Ankit Mahobia, Bio Medical Engineering topper Ishika Jain, Biotechnology topper Sibbhoo Kumar Singh, Chemical Engineering topper Shikha Rai, Civil Engineering topper Muskan Agarwal, Electrical Engineering topper Shubham Agarwal, Electronics and Communication Engineering topper Abhishek Kumar, Information Technology topper Disha Jain, Meta and Materials Engineering topper Prakhar Jadhav and Mining Engineering topper Priyanshu Kumar.
